Write It Down, Make It Happen Simon & Schuster is one of the most respected publishing houses in the industry. It is a privilege to be part of their family. Going to the famous Simon & Schuster office in Rockefeller Center in Manhattan and seeing my book displayed there among their titles was thrilling.
It was great fun working with Cherise Grant on Write It Down, Make It Happen. Since it is a book about adventures happening, it was a happening book to write. Stories came up and tapped me on the shoulder; every phone call was loaded. Nine of the people whose stories I tell in Write It Down, Make It Happen I did not even know when I proposed the idea to Simon & Schuster. Cherise and Trish Todd worked together on editing. It was they who suggested that I make each chapter a teaching chapter, taking the emphasis away from the individual story to what the reader could learn from the narration. That meant framing the stories differently, and changing the names of the chapters in the Table of Contents. It was good advice; it is a stronger book because of this switch.
